Pass The Peaches

It is no secret that I LOVE FRUIT! I am not talking about processed fruit juice, fruit that comes in a can, or fruit flavoring, but real natural organic fruit is one of my favorite things!

There are so many different types of fruit to choose from and most of them give me amazing benefits to help protect us against illness and disease. So, if you haven’t been eating a lot of fruit lately take the time to start trying some new ones out as spring and summer time provide us with the best fruits!

I know I always remind you but please get me the organic kind as those pesticides really ruin the fun of fruit.

You are the sweetest!!

I Love YOU,
Your Body

Many fruits offer the body a range of amazing health benefits such as antioxidant protection, immune support, and vitamin boosts. Although fruits are lacking in minerals( we need to eat lots of veggies to get those), they do supply the body with many essential properties that we need for optimal health, including enzymes.

You may have heard all of that before, but have you ever heard that a peach or nectarine could help fight cancer? As it turns out this tasty fruit holds a very powerful healing tool at its core.

Peaches, plums, nectarines, and even almonds contain a special chemicals in their kernels known as Laetrile, or vitamin b-17.

Research has suggested that Laetrile induces programmed cell death in cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alone. This appears to occur because the chemical is actually composed of four separate molecules: two of glucose, one of benzaldyhide and one of cyanide. The latter two chemicals are toxic, but are bound up in a non-bioavailable form. Cancer cells contain an enzyme that healthy cells do not, known as beta-glucosidase. This enzyme actually breaks apart the component pieces of Laetrile, and the cell is poisoned by a combination of benzaldyhide and cyanide. Healthy cells do not undergo this effect. Many natural health clinics have raved about the power of vitamin b-17 for cancer therapies and over all health, but unfortunately, the FDA claimed that Laetrile treatments were ineffective and toxic and put a ban on it for cancer therapies in 1971. Big surprise there!
But, there are facilities that still continue to do vitamin b-17 therapies in various parts of the world and see amazing results with its healing properties. While most of us wouldn’t bite into the hard-core of a peach, it is amazing to know that these small fruits hold such wonderful healing properties within them.
Makes me wonder how many other natural alternatives are out there in nature just waiting for us to try?

Bottom line is, the closer we get back to nature, the healthier we become, the farther we get from nature the more unhealthy we become. No matter where you are in your health journey take the time to learn new things about the power of fruits, vegetables, and the power that nature has to offer all of us.
